As the leaves begin to turn and the air grows crisp, it can only mean one thing: Hacktoberfest is here! This annual celebration of open source, hosted by Digital Ocean, invites contributors from all over the world to participate in a month-long extravaganza of code contributions. While the allure of limited-edition swag may be enticing, it’s essential to approach Hacktoberfest with a mindset focused on quality, respect for maintainers, and a commitment to long-term community engagement.

DigitalOcean has adopted Meshery, and not in just one way. DigitalOcean publishes its own designs and models to the Meshery Catalog, it co-built an AI engineering academy that teaches operators to manage DigitalOcean infrastructure with Meshery, and it backs the project through the DigitalOcean Open Source Credits Program. Put together, that makes DigitalOcean a genuine ecosystem partner: a user of Meshery, not only a sponsor of it.

Hey Meshery Contributors 👋

“Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.”
– James Cash Penney

We’re thrilled to announce that Meshery has been selected as one of four CNCF projects to take part in the Security Slam at KubeCon EU 2025! This is a fantastic opportunity for the Meshery community to come together and make significant strides in enhancing the security of our project.

In today’s cloud native landscape, platform engineers face an increasingly complex challenge: how do you enable multiple teams to work independently yet collaboratively on shared infrastructure? The answer lies in effective multi-tenancy, and Meshery’s Organizations provide the foundational framework to make this a reality.
