What This Design Does:

A highly available, Kubernetes-based distributed job scheduler architecture that separates job submission, scheduling, coordination, durable queueing, execution, persistence, retry handling, dead-letter processing, autoscaling, and observability.

Caveats and Consideration:

This design represents a reference architecture for a cloud-native distributed job scheduler and is intended for architectural demonstration and experimentation. The design assumes highly available deployments of the scheduler and worker components, durable job storage, distributed coordination, asynchronous job delivery, retry handling, dead-letter processing, autoscaling, and observability. For production use, Redis, Kafka, and PostgreSQL should be deployed using production-grade configurations with persistent storage, authentication, encryption, backups, replication, and appropriate resource limits. Scheduler leader election, job idempotency, duplicate execution handling, failure recovery, queue partitioning, and workload-specific security policies should also be implemented according to operational requirements. The Kubernetes resources shown are architectural representations and may require environment-specific configuration before deployment.
